Update: Registration of Polocrosse Australia Limited
The Polocrosse Association Australia has ceased to be an incorporated association and become Polocrosse Australia Limited (PAL). One of the key changes is that the National Executive Officer role has moved to an employee role rather than a services contract. This position is advertised on Seek and Sportspeople and the job description is attached below. The board is also looking at the branding wholistically and intend to launch a logo competition for members, with a prize for the logo chosen. Information regarding the competition will be shared as it becomes available.
Covid Update
SportWest latest up date for the coming health measures to be enacted - more updates will be provided as they come to us. For now we recommend following government advice and following the regulations your facilities may have in place. Below is also an email from Matt Fulton regarding community sport.

Email from Matt Fulton
Hi All,
I understand there are still many outstanding questions regarding the changes to restrictions from midnight tonight and between SportWest and DLGSC we are continuing to endeavour to get responses as soon as possible.
In the meantime there is one important update I can provide.
The following clarification has been provided by the Chief Health Officer in relation to community sport, community sporting events and the new Directions which will come into effect on Thursday 3 March 2022.
The Chief Health Officer has confirmed that regardless of the location that a community sport event is being held at – a dedicated purposely-built sports venue or a public venue such as Langley Park being used for a one-off community sport event – he considers it to still be deemed as community sport.
A reminder that the definition of community sport is listed in Directions as:
Community sport means organised, community-based team or individual amateur sport played or participated in other than for valuable remuneration but does not include activities in the nature of an exercise class which requires payment or a ticket or other form of registration to participate.
This will enable outdoor community sporting events to proceed as community sport and therefore will not be subject to the 500 person capacity limit. Indoor venues will still have capacity restrictions and spectators at indoor and outdoor events will be limited to parents/guardians, we are still seeking clarification on specifics regarding capacity restrictions in indoor settings and whether parent/guardian spectators includes siblings.
Clubs and organisations that are running upcoming events should contact the relevant venue manager or local government to discuss this information as the first point of call. I’d suggest you share the above statement from the Chief Health Officer if there is any confusion.
More to come as soon as it becomes available.
Regards,
